StarTime-5

The StarTime-5 satellite is a micro remote sensing satellite developed by Beijing Minospace Technology Co., Ltd. It was successfully launched on August 17, 2019, at 12:11 (Beijing time) from the Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center aboard the Smart Dragon-1 launch vehicle. Operating in a sun-synchronous orbit at an altitude of approximately 553 kilometers, the satellite supports remote sensing applications in forestry, agriculture, and marine monitoring.

StarTime-5 is equipped with on-orbit intelligent image processing, autonomous fault diagnosis, and self-management functions. Its primary payload is a compact optical camera, complemented by several new technologies undergoing their first in-orbit demonstration.
